Description

These golden brown potato wedges are an absolute hit! I've been making them for years and they are always a hit. The secret lies in soaking the potatoes, which makes them particularly crispy. The spice mixture of paprika, garlic and rosemary gives them a hearty taste. Perfect as a side dish to meat or fish, but also as a snack in between, they are simply irresistible. The preparation is very easy and doesn't take long. A great recipe for the whole family!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Potatoes (firm cooking)
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder (sweet)
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Rosemary (dried)
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil

Preparation (4 steps)

Prepare potatoes

Peel, quarter the potatoes and soak in cold water for about 20 minutes. Then pour away the water, rinse the potatoes with fresh water and dry as well as possible (this way the potatoes lose some starch, which makes them crispier).

Prepare spice mixture

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch, paprika powder, garlic powder, rosemary, plenty of salt, pepper and olive oil. Mix the potatoes with the spice mixture so that they are well covered.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 220 °C top and bottom heat. Line baking sheet with baking paper.

Bake potatoes

Distribute the potatoes evenly on the baking sheet so that they do not touch each other and bake for about 30-35 minutes until the potato wedges are golden brown and crispy. Turn once in between.
