Description

Asian Pak Choi with Shiitake is a quick and healthy main course, prepared in the Thermomix®. The main ingredients are Pak Choi, Shiitake mushrooms and soy sauce, refined with chili. In just 25 minutes, 2 servings of this vegetarian dish are created. Ideal for light cuisine or as a quick family meal.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 6 Stück Mini Pak Choi
  • 150 g Shiitake mushrooms
  • 3 EL Oil
  • 4 EL light Soy sauce
  • 4 EL Rice wine
  • 150 ml Vegetable broth
  • 1 Stück red Chili pepper
  • 1 TL Cornstarch

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare Pak Choi and mushrooms

Clean, wash and halve the mini Pak Choi. Clean and halve the Shiitake mushrooms. Clean the red chili pepper, cut lengthwise, wash, remove the seeds and cut into fine strips. Set aside the prepared ingredients.

Heat oil

Add 3 tbsp of oil to the mixing bowl and heat for 3 min./120°C/level 1.

Sauté mushrooms

Thermomix® Setting

Add the halved Shiitake mushrooms to the mixing bowl and sauté for 5 min./120°C/reverse rotation level 1.

Deglaze and add Pak Choi

Thermomix® Setting
8 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 212°F

Add 4 tbsp light soy sauce, 4 tbsp rice wine and 150 ml vegetable stock to the mixing bowl. Add the halved mini Pak Choi and simmer for 8 min./100°C/reverse rotation level 1.

Remove Pak Choi

Remove the Pak Choi from the mixing bowl with tongs or a ladle and arrange on plates. Leave the cooking liquid in the mixing bowl.

Thicken sauce

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/212°F/Speed 2 212°F

Stir 1 tsp of cornstarch with a little cold water until smooth. Add the stirred starch to the mixing bowl and bring to the boil for 2 min./100°C/level 2 until the sauce thickens.

Arrange and serve

Arrange the Pak Choi on plates and pour over the thickened sauce. Sprinkle the chili rings over it and serve immediately. Rice goes well with this.
