Description

These flavored chicken bites are a true triumph of flavors! The marinade with ginger, spices and a touch of green Sriracha makes the chicken incredibly tender and tasty. I often prepare them for dinner, accompanied by basmati rice and a sprinkling of sesame seeds. The sweet and sour sauce, thickened with a little cornstarch, envelops the chicken in a delicious embrace. Perfect for a quick but flavorful dinner, these bites are an explosion of oriental flavors that will win everyone over! Preparation is simple and quick, also ideal for those with little time available. A true comfort food!

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 500 g Chicken breast
  • 20 g Ginger root
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Sweet paprika
  • 0.5 tsp Chili powder
  • 2 cucchiai Cane sugar
  • 4 cucchiai Soy sauce
  • 2 cucchiai Rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp Green Sriracha
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 pezzi Scallion stalks
  • 1 tbsp White sesame seeds
  • 2 cucchiai Seed oil

Preparation (8 steps)

Chicken preparation

Cut the chicken breast into cubes of about 2 cm.

Marinade preparation

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Place the sliced ginger root in the bowl and chop for 5 Sec./Stufe 5. Add cumin powder, garlic powder, sweet paprika, chili powder, cane sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar and green Sriracha. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 3.

Chicken marinade

Pour the marinade over the chicken cubes and mix well. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

Cornstarch preparation

Dissolve the cornstarch in a glass of cold water and mix well to avoid lumps.

Marinade cooking

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Remove the chicken from the marinade and filter the marinade with a sieve. Pour the filtered marinade into the bowl, add the cornstarch dissolved in water and cook for 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 2.

Cooking the chicken in a pan

In a pan, heat the seed oil over medium-high heat. Brown the chicken cubes until they are golden and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Joining the chicken and sauce

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/194°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 90 Reverse

Pour the cooked chicken into the bowl with the sauce and cook for 3 Min./90°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1, until the sauce has thickened and coated the chicken.

Serve the hot chicken bites with long-grain rice, sliced scallions and white sesame seeds.
