Description

This pineapple chicken with colorful peppers is a dish I often prepare when I want something quick, tasty and with an exotic touch. The chicken cubes, sautéed with peppers and pineapple, blend perfectly with the sweet and sour sauce, creating an explosion of flavors in the mouth. The preparation is very simple and requires few ingredients, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner. If you love sweet and sour flavors, this is the dish for you! You can accompany it with basmati rice for a complete and balanced meal. A true comfort food!

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 4 piece Chicken breast
  • 200 g Mixed peppers
  • 200 g Pineapple
  • 1 piece Spring onion
  • 1 piece Fresh chili pepper
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 piece Fresh ginger
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 3 tbsp Barbecue sauce
  • 50 ml Pineapple juice
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 30 ml Seed oil
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Sugar

Preparation (8 steps)

Initial preparation of the ingredients

Cut the chicken breast into cubes and the mixed peppers into pieces. Finely chop a clove of garlic and a piece of fresh ginger. Slice the green part of the spring onion and thinly slice a piece of fresh chili pepper. Set aside all the ingredients.

Chop garlic and ginger

Insert a clove of garlic and a piece of fresh ginger into the bowl and chop for 3 Sec./Stufe 7.

Sauté garlic, ginger and chili pepper

Add 30 ml of seed oil to the bowl together with the chopped garlic, ginger and sliced chili pepper. Sauté for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Add spring onion and peppers

Add the sliced green part of the spring onion and the peppers in pieces to the bowl. Cook for 4 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Brown the chicken

In a non-stick pan, heat a drizzle of seed oil over high heat. Add the chicken cubes and brown for about 5 minutes, salting lightly. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

Prepare the sweet and sour sauce

Add 1 teaspoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 3 tablespoons of barbecue sauce and 50 ml of pineapple juice to the bowl. Mix for 2 Min./100°C/Stufe 2.

Thicken the sauce

Dissolve 1 tablespoon of cornstarch in a little cold water. Add the dissolved cornstarch to the bowl and cook for 2 Min./100°C/Stufe 3, until the sauce has thickened.

Combine all the ingredients

3 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add the browned chicken and 200g of pineapple in pieces to the bowl. Cook for 3 Min./100°C/Linkslauf Stufe 1, to flavor everything.
