Description

Dieses cremige Chicken Curry ist ein absoluter Wohlfühlklassiker, der im Thermomix® kinderleicht zubereitet ist. Ich mache es besonders gerne, wenn es draußen kalt ist, denn die Gewürze wärmen von innen. Das Gericht ist perfekt für ein schnelles Abendessen unter der Woche oder auch für eine größere Runde, da es sich gut vorbereiten lässt. Das Curry ist herrlich cremig und würzig, mit zarten Hähnchenstückchen. Wer es etwas schärfer mag, kann noch eine Prise Chili hinzufügen. Ein Schuss Zitronensaft sorgt für die nötige Frische. Dazu passt Reis oder Naan-Brot.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 0.5 cup minced onion
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 cups cubed, cooked chicken
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Preparation (4 steps)

Onion and Curry Powder Sauté

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add 6 tablespoons of butter and ½ cup of minced onion to the mixing bowl. Sauté for 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1. Then add 1 tablespoon of curry powder and continue to sauté for 2 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Flour Mixture

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Add 6 tablespoons of all-purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoons of salt, 1 ½ teaspoons of white sugar, and ¼ teaspoon of ground ginger to the mixing bowl. Cook for 5 Min./100°C/Stufe 2.

Adding Liquids

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Pour 2 cups of chicken broth and 2 cups of milk into the mixing bowl. Cook for 1 Min./100°C/Stufe 2.

Final Touches

Thermomix® Setting
5 min/194°F/Speed 1 90 Reverse

Add 4 cups of cubed, cooked chicken and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the mixing bowl. Cook for 5 Min./90°C/Stufe 1.
