Description

Delicious cooked down bell peppers, perfect as a side dish or appetizer.

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Bell pepper
  • 1 l Water
  • 50 g Salt
  • 150 ml Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Pepper and Mustard Seeds
  • Cumin
  • Coriander
  • Bay leaves
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Oregano

Preparation (7 steps)

Put water, vinegar, salt and spices in the mixing bowl

Put 1 liter water, 150 ml vinegar, 50 g salt, pepper and mustard seeds, cumin, coriander, bay leaves and herbs to taste (thyme, rosemary or oregano) in the mixing bowl.

Boil the brine

Close the mixing bowl and attach the measuring cup. Boil the brine for 10 Min./100°C/level 1.

Let the brine cool down

Let the brine cool down completely.

Prepare bell pepper

Wash, core and cut 1 kg bell pepper into strips or cubes.

Fill bell pepper into jars

Place the bell pepper in the previously cleaned preserving jars.

Pour brine over bell pepper

Pour the cooled brine over the bell pepper so that they are completely covered.

Cook bell pepper

Cook the filled jars either in a preserving pot or in the oven at 90 °C for 30 minutes.
