Description

These flavored chicken thighs are a delicious and easy-to-prepare alternative for a family lunch or dinner. The marinade with brown sugar, spices and a drizzle of olive oil makes the meat tender and flavorful. I often prepare them when I have little time, but I still want to bring a tasty and nutritious dish to the table. Perfect to accompany with baked potatoes or a fresh salad. A real comfort food, ideal for any occasion!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 6 piece chicken drumsticks
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1.5 tsp fine salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • olive oil

Preparation (6 steps)

Marinating the chicken thighs

In a large bowl, add the 6 chicken thighs, 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1.5 teaspoons of fine salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1 teaspoon of onion powder. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

Massage with olive oil

Add the olive oil as needed to the chicken thighs and massage well to cover them evenly with the seasonings. Make sure each thigh is well covered with the marinade.

Resting in the refrigerator

Seal the bowl with food wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This step allows the chicken thighs to absorb all the flavors of the marinade.

Cooking in the air fryer

Arrange the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket lined with parchment paper, placing them on a single layer. Make sure the thighs are not overlapping for even cooking.

Cooking the thighs

Cook the chicken thighs for 25 minutes at 200°C, turning them halfway through cooking to brown them evenly. Check the internal cooking with a cooking thermometer; the internal temperature must reach at least 75°C.

Serve

Once ready, serve the chicken thighs hot and steaming! Accompany with side dishes as desired.
