Description

It's surprisingly easy to make with the Thermomix®, and the result is a smooth, creamy liqueur that's far superior to anything you can buy in a store. Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 cup water
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 1 tsp anise seeds
  • 4 piece egg yolks
  • 750 milliliter rum (151 proof)
  • 14 ounce sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 ounce evaporated milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Prepare Anise Syrup

Thermomix® Setting
15 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 1 cup water, 1 1/2 cups white sugar, and 1 teaspoon anise seeds to the Thermomix bowl. Cook for 15 Min./100°C/Stufe 1 until the mixture thickens into a syrupy consistency. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove the anise seeds. Set the syrup aside to cool slightly.

Combine Ingredients

20 sec/Speed 4

Add 4 egg yolks to the Thermomix bowl and mix for 20 Sek./Stufe 4 until light yellow. Add 750ml rum, 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk, 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk, and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract to the bowl.

Blend and Emulsify

30 sec/Speed 3

Add the cooled anise syrup to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 30 Sek./Stufe 3 to ensure all ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth.

Bottle and Chill

Pour the mixture into decorative bottles and seal tightly. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours before drinking, or preferably overnight for the flavors to meld together.
