Description

These savory herb-cheese-biscuits from the Thermomix® are a delicious vegetarian snack or finger food. The main ingredients are flour, cream cheese with herbs, margarine and eggs. Preparation takes about 50 minutes and yields approximately 20 biscuits. Ideal for parties, as an appetizer or for a small hunger in between.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 250 g Flour
  • 2 TL Baking powder
  • 125 g Margarine
  • 2 Stück Eggs
  • 80 g Cream cheese with herbs
  • 1 TL Iodized salt
  • 1 TL Paprika powder
  • 1 TL Oregano (dried)
  • 1 TL Basil (dried)
  • Sesame
  • Chopped nuts
  • Poppy seeds

Preparation (6 steps)

Mix flour and baking powder

Add 250 g flour and 2 tsp baking powder to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec/speed 4.

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 125 g margarine, 1 egg, 80 g cream cheese, 1 tsp iodized salt, 1 tsp paprika powder, 1 tsp oregano and 1 tsp basil and process for 2 min/kneading stage to a smooth dough.

Roll out and cut out dough

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl and roll out thinly to approx. 3 mm on a floured work surface. Cut out with cookie cutters and place on baking sheets lined with baking paper.

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 200 °C (convection oven: 180 °C).

Brush and sprinkle biscuits

Separate the second egg, whisk the egg yolk. Brush the biscuits with the egg yolk and sprinkle with poppy seeds, sesame seeds or chopped nuts, press down lightly if necessary.

Bake biscuits

Bake the savory biscuits in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
