Description

This Thermomix® casserole with chicory and ham rolls is a hearty main course with just a few ingredients: chicory, cooked ham, cream, Parmesan, and cheese. Preparation in the Thermomix® takes about 40 minutes, including 20 minutes of active work, and yields 4 servings. The recipe is gluten-free and is especially suitable for autumn and winter. Ideal for a quick and easy meal.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 500 g Chicory
  • 4 Scheiben Cooked ham
  • 200 g Cooking cream
  • 50 g Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 30 g Grated cheese
  • 1 TL Salt
  • nach Geschmack Pepper
  • 500 ml Water

Preparation (8 steps)

Prepare chicory

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) top and bottom heat. Remove the core ends from the chicory.

Pre-cook chicory

Put 500 ml water and 1 tsp salt in the mixing bowl and bring to a boil for 5 min./100°C/speed 1.

Cook chicory

5 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Place the chicory in the simmering basket and insert it into the mixing bowl. Cook for 5 min./100°C/speed 1. Then drain the chicory well and let it cool.

Wrap chicory

Wrap each chicory with a slice of cooked ham and place in a casserole dish.

Prepare sauce

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Put 200 g cream, 50 g grated Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper to taste in the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./speed 3.

Distribute sauce

Pour the sauce evenly over the chicory in the casserole dish.

Sprinkle with cheese

Sprinkle 30 g grated cheese (e.g. Gouda) over the chicory.

Gratin

Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
