Description

Carrots with Potatoes Rhineland Style is a hearty and inexpensive main course that is quick to prepare with the Thermomix®. Potatoes, carrots, onions and diced bacon form the basis of this simple soup. In just 45 minutes, a filling meal for 4 servings is created. Ideal for quick, uncomplicated cooking.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 600 g Potatoes floury cooking
  • 1 kg Carrots
  • 2 Stück Onions
  • 250 g Diced bacon
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 Prise Sugar
  • 1 EL Vegetable stock

Preparation (6 steps)

Chop onions

Put onions in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté onions

Leave the chopped onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Fry bacon

Fry diced bacon in a separate pan and set aside.

Cut carrots and potatoes into cubes

Cut carrots into coarse pieces, add to the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5.

Season and cook

Add salt, pepper, sugar and vegetable stock. Fill up with water to just below the maximum mark. Cook for 25 min./100°C/speed 1.

Add fried diced bacon to the mixing bowl and heat for 5 min./90°C/reverse blade speed 1.
