Description

This baked chicken with potatoes in the style of Cádiz is a traditional and comforting dish, perfect for a family meal or a special celebration. Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 4 piece chicken thighs
  • 4 piece large potatoes
  • 1 piece large onion
  • 0.5 container white wine
  • 0.5 container oil
  • 2 container water
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika De La Vera
  • 0.5 tsp ground cayenne
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tsp thyme

Preparation (4 steps)

Initial preparation of the vegetables

Peel and cut the potatoes into thick slices. Peel and cut the onion into wedges. Set aside.

Chicken preparation

Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside.

Sauce preparation

In the Thermomix bowl, add 2 glasses of water and 1 teaspoon of paprika de la Vera. Mix 10 seconds/Speed 3.

Assembly and baking

In a large baking dish, place the seasoned chicken thighs, the cut potatoes, and the onion wedges. Pour 1/2 glass of oil and 1/2 glass of white wine over the chicken and potatoes. Add the water and paprika mixture from the Thermomix. Sprinkle with 2 teaspoons of oregano, 2 teaspoons of thyme, and 1/2 teaspoon of ground cayenne (optional). Bake at 200°C for approximately 2 hours, turning the chicken every hour to brown evenly. If necessary, add a little more water during cooking.
