Description

I love preparing these crispy chicken wontons! It's a recipe that I often make for cocktail appetizers or evenings with friends. The chicken filling is deliciously flavored with carrot, ginger and fresh coriander. The plum sauce brings a sweet and savory touch that goes perfectly with the crispness of the wontons. The wontons can be prepared in advance and fried just before serving. It's practical and always a success! Feel free to add a little chili to enhance the taste. A real Asian delight to share!

Ingredients (14 ingredients)

  • 150 g Chicken
  • 0.25 tasse(s) Grated carrot(s)
  • 2 piece Onion(s)
  • 200 g Pâté
  • 1 c. à soupe Fresh coriander
  • 1 c. à café Grated ginger
  • 1 gousse(s) Garlic
  • 2 c. à soupe Soy sauce
  • 1 c. à café Sesame oil
  • 0.5 c. à café Sugar
  • Oil
  • Plum(s)
  • Water
  • Salt

Preparation (9 steps)

Preparation of minced chicken

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 8

Cut the chicken into small pieces. Put them in the Thermomix bowl and mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 8. The chicken flesh should be smooth.

Mixing the filling

In a bowl, put the minced chicken, grated carrot, chopped onions, fresh coriander, grated ginger, chopped garlic, 1 tbsp of soy sauce, sugar, salt and sesame oil and mix well by hand.

Filling the wontons

Put 1 tsp of preparation in the center of each wonton dough disc, and brush the edge with a little water.

Shaping the purses

Form a purse by gently pressing at the top to seal.

Frying the wontons

Heat the frying oil in a thick-bottomed saucepan, dip the purses in the hot oil. Fry in small quantities over medium heat. The frying should be golden and crispy, and cooked inside.

Draining and keeping warm

Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on absorbent paper. Keep warm, serve with plum sauce.

Preparing the plum sauce

Heat the plum sauce and soy sauce together in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Chop the onions

Put the onions in the Thermomix bowl and chop 3 Sek./Stufe 5.

Chop the garlic

Put the garlic in the Thermomix bowl and chop 3 Sek./Stufe 7.
