Description

A hearty pork goulash, prepared with vegetable onions, paprika powder and roasting stock. This hearty dish is ideal for the cold season and can be easily prepared in the Thermomix®. With a preparation time of about 75 minutes and 6 servings, it is perfect for a family meal or a cozy get-together with friends.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 500 g Vegetable onions
  • 1000 g Pork goulash
  • 2 EL Clarified butter
  • 2 EL Sweet paprika powder
  • 3 EL Tomato paste
  • 800 ml Roasting stock
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare onions

Thermomix® Setting

Halve 500 g vegetable onions and place in the mixing bowl. Chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Scrape down with the spatula.

Sear meat

Sear 1 kg pork goulash in portions in a large pan or roaster with 2 tbsp clarified butter from all sides, season with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Sauté onions

Place the chopped onions in the mixing bowl and add 2 tbsp clarified butter. Sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add tomato paste and paprika powder

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Add 3 tbsp tomato paste and 2 tbsp sweet paprika powder to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 1 min./120°C/speed 1.

Simmer goulash

Thermomix® Setting
45 min/212°F/Linkslauf Speed 1 100 Reverse

Add the seared meat, 800 ml roasting stock, salt and pepper to the mixing bowl. Simmer for 45 min./100°C/Reverse Rotation speed 1. Add some water if necessary.
