Description

This Argentinian-style roast chicken is a simple and delicious recipe, perfect for a family meal or a special dinner. The combination of rosemary and lemon gives it a unique aroma and flavor, while the coarse salt helps the skin to be crispy and golden. I prepare it often because it is very easy to make and everyone always likes it. In addition, it is a healthy and protein-rich option. Ideal to accompany with a fresh salad or roasted vegetables. Ingredients (4 ingredients)

  • 1 piece whole chicken with skin
  • 1 kg coarse salt
  • 1 ramita rosemary
  • 1 piece lemon

Preparation (5 steps)

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 200°C. This step is performed outside of the Thermomix.

Prepare the chicken

Remove excess fat from the chicken and, if necessary, wash it. Cut the lemon into quarters and insert inside the chicken with a sprig of rosemary. Tie the chicken legs to maintain its shape. This step is performed outside of the Thermomix.

Prepare the salt

Cover the bottom of an oven dish with 1 kg of coarse salt, making sure it is even. This step is performed outside of the Thermomix.

Bake the chicken

Put the chicken in the center of the dish with the salt and season with salt and pepper on top. Bake for 60 minutes over medium heat until golden on top. This step is performed outside of the Thermomix.

Serve

Cut the chicken into pieces and serve with a green leaf salad. This step is performed outside of the Thermomix.
