Description

This crunchy Chinese cabbage salad with an Asian touch is a real treat! The combination of fresh Chinese cabbage, crunchy noodles and roasted almonds makes it a special experience. The dressing with a hint of sweetness and acidity perfectly rounds off the dish. Ideal as a side dish for barbecues, parties or simply as a light meal in between. The preparation is super easy and quick, so you can conjure up a delicious salad in no time. An absolute must for all salad lovers!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 1 piece large Chinese cabbage
  • 2 Pck. Noodles instant with chicken flavor
  • 6 tbsp Sunflower seeds
  • 100 g Flaked almonds
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Vinegar 7-herb vinegar
  • 80 ml Oil

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare dressing

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Add vinegar, oil, sugar, salt, pepper and the spice mixture from the noodle packets to the mixing bowl and mix for 20 seconds/speed 3 until the sugar has dissolved.

Chop the Chinese cabbage

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 4

Cut the Chinese cabbage into coarse pieces, place in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 seconds/speed 4. If necessary, push down with the spatula and repeat the process.

Crumble and add noodles

Finely crumble the noodles from the instant noodle packets and add to a bowl together with the chopped Chinese cabbage.

Roast almonds and sunflower seeds

Roast the almonds and sunflower seeds in a pan without fat until light and fragrant. Then let cool and add to the salad in the bowl.

Arrange salad

Pour the dressing over the salad just before serving and mix well. Serve immediately.
