Description

These pork chops with apricot glaze are a delightful main course, perfect for a family dinner or a festive occasion. The combination of savory pork and sweet apricot creates a wonderful flavor profile that's sure to please. I've been making this recipe for years, and it's always a hit! The apricot jam and salad dressing create a tangy and sweet glaze that perfectly complements the pork. It's a simple yet elegant dish that's easy to prepare, especially with the help of the Thermomix®. The pork chops are tender and juicy, and the glaze adds a beautiful shine and delicious taste. This dish is especially great during the holidays, but it's also perfect for a weeknight meal.

Sear the Pork Chops

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Season 4 (1 inch thick) bone-in pork chops with salt and pepper to taste; cook 2 to 3 minutes per side until well-browned. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

3

Glaze and Bake

Place the seared pork chops in a 9x13 inch baking pan lined with foil. Pour the apricot mixture over the pork chops, ensuring they are well covered. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 40 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145 degrees F (63 degrees C) and the pork is no longer pink in the center. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
