Description

These crispy fish fillet fingers are a real hit with young and old! I often make them when I need something quick and still want something delicious on the table. The secret is the spicy breading that keeps the fish nice and juicy. The preparation is super easy and can be done in no time with the Thermomix®. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Potato salad, fries or simply a fresh salad go well with it. If you like, you can drizzle some lemon juice over it - it just tastes delicious!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 400 g Fish fillet (e.g. Pollock)
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 50 g Wheat flour (Type 405)
  • 2 piece Eggs (Size M)
  • 100 g Breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder (sweet)
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare fish

Cut the fish fillets into fingers. Drizzle with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, season with salt and pepper and leave to marinate for about 10 minutes.

Prepare breading station

Put 50 g wheat flour in a bowl. Whisk 2 eggs (size M) in a second bowl. In a third bowl, mix 100 g breadcrumbs, 1 teaspoon paprika powder (sweet), 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder and a little salt.

Breading

First turn the fish pieces in flour, then pull them through the whisked egg and then roll them in the seasoned breadcrumbs until they are completely covered.

Prepare hot air fryer

Preheat the hot air fryer to 200 °C. Lightly grease the frying basket with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.

Fry fish fingers

5 min/392°F/Speed 1 200

Place the breaded fish fingers in a single layer in the frying basket. If it doesn't fit, prepare the fish fingers one after the other. Fry the fish fingers for approx. 5 min./200°C/level 1, turn and fry for a further 5 min./200°C/level 1 until golden brown and crispy.

Turn the breaded fish fingers and fry for another 5 min./200°C/level 1 until golden brown and crispy.
