Description

This cream puff recipe is a classic of French cuisine. Preparation is made easy with the Thermomix®, which ensures the dough is particularly successful. The cream puffs are baked in the oven and then cut horizontally to fill them with sweet or savory fillings. Ideal as a dessert or with coffee.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 250 g Water
  • 100 g soft butter, in pieces
  • 1 Prise Salt
  • 200 g Flour
  • 0.5 Pck. Baking powder
  • 4 Stück Eggs

Preparation (7 steps)

Heat water, butter and salt

Thermomix® Setting

Put 250 g water, 100 g soft butter in pieces and 1 pinch of salt into the mixing bowl and heat for 4 min./100°C/speed 1.

Stir in flour and baking powder

Thermomix® Setting

Add 200 g flour and 1/2 pack of baking powder and stir in for 1 1/2 min./speed 4.

Let the dough cool

Let the dough cool for 15 minutes.

Stir in eggs

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Speed 5

Add 4 eggs one after the other through the lid opening while stirring on speed 5, then stir for 1 min./speed 5.

Place choux pastry on baking sheet

Using 2 tablespoons or a piping bag, place the choux pastry on an ungreased baking sheet at large intervals so that the pastries do not stick together when they rise.

Bake cream puffs

Bake in a preheated oven on the middle rack. Important: Do not open the oven in between, otherwise the pastries will collapse.

Fill cream puffs

To fill, cut the cream puffs horizontally.
