Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chai tea mix
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon (Optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger (Optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cardamom (Optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground allspice (Optional)
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves (Optional)
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine dry ingredients and tea mix

Add 1 cup all-purpose flour, ¼ cup white sugar, ¼ cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon chai tea mix, ¼ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional), ¼ teaspoon ground ginger (optional), ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom (optional), ¼ teaspoon ground allspice (optional), and ¼ teaspoon ground cloves (optional) to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 6 to pulverize the tea and distribute it throughout the dry ingredients.

Add butter and vanilla extract

Add ½ cup unsalted butter (cut into cubes) and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 20 Sec./Stufe 4 until a rough dough is formed. Use the spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl if needed.

Shape and chill the dough

Scrape the dough out onto a piece of parchment paper. Form the dough into an 8-inch log. Cover with the paper and roll the log until smooth. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat oven and slice the dough

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Use a sharp knife to slice the chilled log of dough into 1/3-inch-thick pieces. Place the slices on the prepared baking sheets.

Bake the cookies

Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are just beginning to brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes. Transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
