Description

These classic butter cookies are a must for the Christmas season. The recipe is easy to prepare with the Thermomix® and yields about 60 cookies. The cookies are baked until golden brown and then decorated with melted chocolate coating. Ideal for Advent and as a gift.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

250 g soft butter
125 g sugar
1 Pck. vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
1 piece egg
300 g flour
50 g cornstarch
200 g dark or milk chocolate coating

Preparation (7 steps)

Mix butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt until creamy

Place 250 g soft butter, 125 g sugar, 1 packet of vanilla sugar and 1 pinch of salt in the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min/speed 4 until creamy.

Add egg and stir briefly

Add 1 egg and stir in for 20 sec/speed 3.

Stir in flour and cornstarch

Add 300 g flour and 50 g cornstarch to the mixing bowl and knead for 2 min/knead setting to form a smooth, soft dough.

Fill dough into piping bag and pipe onto baking sheet

Fill the dough into a piping bag with a star nozzle and pipe swirls, sticks or S-shapes onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

Bake cookies

Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at 180 °C top/bottom heat for about 12 minutes until golden brown.

Let the cookies cool

Let the baked cookies cool on a wire rack.

Melt chocolate coating and decorate cookies

Place 200 g dark or milk chocolate coating in pieces in the mixing bowl and melt for 4 min/50°C/speed 2. Dip the cookies halfway or decorate with fine lines.
