Description

These spinach bites are a delicious and nutritious way to enjoy vegetables. Perfect as an appetizer, starter or even for a light dinner. The recipe is very simple and is prepared in a short time with the Thermomix®. The fresh spinach gives it a mild and pleasant flavor, while the grated cheese adds a touch of flavor and creaminess. I usually add a little nutmeg to enhance the flavor of the spinach. They are ideal for children and adults, and can be served hot or cold. A guaranteed success on any occasion!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 0.5 pack fresh spinach
  • 2 piece eggs
  • 5 tbsp milk
  • 8 tbsp self-raising flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp grated cheese
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 1 pinch turmeric

Preparation (8 steps)

Wash and dry the spinach

Wash ½ packet of fresh spinach very well in plenty of water. Drain well and dry the leaves, removing all excess water.

Chop the spinach

Chop the spinach as finely as possible and reserve. Preheat the oven to 200 °C.

Mix eggs, milk and seasonings

10 Seg./Speed 4

Place 2 eggs, 5 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, salt, pepper, nutmeg and turmeric to taste in the Thermomix glass. Mix 10 sec./Stufe 4.

Add cheese and flour

Thermomix® Setting
15 Seg./Speed 4

Add 2 tablespoons of grated cheese and 8 tablespoons of self-raising flour to the glass. Mix 15 sec./Stufe 4.

Adjust the consistency

Thermomix® Setting
5 Seg./Speed 4

Check the consistency of the mixture. If it is too liquid, add a little more flour and mix 5 sec./Stufe 4. If it is too thick, add more milk and mix 5 sec./Stufe 4.

Incorporate the spinach

Thermomix® Setting
10 Seg./Linkslauf Speed 3 Reverse

Add the chopped spinach to the glass and mix 10 sec./Linkslauf Stufe 3.

Form the bites

Grease a baking tray with oil. With two spoons, form the bites and place them on the baking tray, somewhat separated from each other.

Bake the bites

Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C until they have browned and puffed up. Then, turn them over so they also brown on the other side. Approximately 20 minutes.
