Description

These crispy chicken bites are a real treat! The panko breading makes them irresistibly golden and crispy, while the yogurt and lemon marinade gives the meat a unique tenderness and flavor. The honey and mustard sauce is the perfect finishing touch, adding a sweet and slightly spicy note that perfectly complements the chicken. Ideal for a tasty dinner or an aperitif with friends, these bites are easy to prepare and will please everyone. I love them and often prepare them for my children!

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 6 slice chicken breast
  • 300 g panko
  • 125 g plain unsweetened yogurt
  • 0.5 piece lemon (for the juice)
  • 1 q.b. thyme
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 q.b. fine salt
  • 1 q.b. pepper
  • 1 q.b. oil for frying
  • 100 g mayonnaise
  • 20 g honey
  • 1 tbsp mustard

Preparation (8 steps)

Preparation of the marinade

Thermomix® Setting
10 Sec./Speed 3

Pour 125 g of plain unsweetened yogurt into the bowl. Add the juice of half a lemon, 1 clove of garlic and a pinch of thyme. Salt and pepper to taste. Mix well: 10 Sec./Stufe 3.

Marinating the chicken

Put 6 slices of chicken breast in the bowl with the marinade and mix well to make sure they are completely covered. Leave to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Preparation of the panko

Thermomix® Setting

Put 300 g of crustless sandwich bread in the bowl and chop finely: 10 Sec./Stufe 8. Transfer the panko to a baking tray lined with baking paper and spread it out with your hands.

Toasting the panko

Bake the panko in a preheated oven at 120°C for 25-30 minutes, until completely golden brown, stirring occasionally. (This step is not performed with the Thermomix).

Coating the chicken

Remove the chicken slices from the marinade and coat them carefully in the toasted panko, making sure they are completely covered.

Frying the chicken

Heat plenty of oil in a frying pan. Fry the breaded chicken slices until golden brown, turning them to cook them evenly. Drain them on absorbent paper to remove excess oil. (This step is not performed with the Thermomix).

Preparation of the sauce

Put 100 g of mayonnaise, 20 g of honey and 1 tablespoon of mustard in the bowl. Mix well: 10 Sec./Stufe 3.

Plating

Serve the fried chicken with hot panko, accompanied by the honey and mustard sauce.
