Description

These apple balls are a delicious pastry that is especially good in autumn. With apples, low-fat curd cheese and a pinch of vanilla, they are light and juicy. Preparation in the Thermomix® is quick and easy, so the balls are ready in about 45 minutes. Ideal as a dessert or with coffee.

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 3 piece Apples
  • 1 piece Vanilla pod
  • 250 g Low-fat curd cheese
  • 120 ml Rapeseed oil
  • 350 g Flour
  • 15 g Baking powder
  • 120 g Sugar

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare apples

Peel, core and cut 3 medium-sized apples into coarse pieces with the Wundermix WunderSlicer V2. Place the WunderSlicer V2 on the mixing bowl lid and select the coarse disc. Collect the cut material in a bowl.

Prepare curd cheese mixture

Put 250 g low-fat curd cheese, the pulp of a vanilla pod, 120 ml rapeseed oil and 120 g sugar in the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 3.

Knead dough

Add 350 g flour and 15 g baking powder to the curd cheese mixture in the mixing bowl. Replace the standard knife with the Patix dough knife from Meistermix and knead for 2 min./kneading stage to form a dough.

Fold in apples

15 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Add the prepared apple pieces to the dough in the mixing bowl and fold in for 15 sec./reverse/speed 2.

Shape and bake balls

Shape the dough into 7-10 balls and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees convection for 25 minutes.

Optional: Roll in sugar-cinnamon

If desired, roll the still hot apple balls in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
