Description

These puff pastry bites with gorgonzola and mushrooms are a delicious and quick appetizer to prepare, perfect for a dinner with friends or an impromptu aperitif. The crispy puff pastry goes perfectly with the creaminess of the sweet gorgonzola and the intense flavor of the button mushrooms. I often prepare them when I have guests at home and they always disappear in the blink of an eye! The preparation is really simple and quick, also ideal for those who do not have much experience in the kitchen. A tasty and original idea to amaze your guests with a touch of Italian flavor.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 rotolo Rectangular puff pastry
  • 150 g Sweet gorgonzola
  • 200 g Button mushrooms
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1 bunch Parsley
  • 2 cucchiai Extra virgin olive oil (EVO)
  • 1 tuorlo Egg yolk
  • 1 pinch Salt

Preparation (6 steps)

Preparation of the puff pastry

Roll out the rectangular puff pastry sheet on a work surface. With a 5 cm diameter pastry cutter, cut out 12 discs. On 4 of the discs obtained, make a hole in the center with a smaller pastry cutter.

Composition of the vol-au-vents

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the first disc on the baking sheet, brush with the egg yolk. Place another disc on top, brush again with the egg yolk and place the disc with the hole in the center. Prick with a fork in the center and brush the surface with the egg yolk.

Baking in the oven

Bake in a preheated static oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes. Remove the vol-au-vents from the oven and let them cool completely.

Preparation of the mushrooms

Thermomix® Setting
3 min/248°F/Speed 1 120

Put a clove of garlic in the bowl and chop: 3 Sec./Stufe 7. With the spatula, collect the chopped mixture on the bottom of the bowl. Add the extra virgin olive oil and cook: 3 Min./120°C/Stufe 1.

Addition of mushrooms

Thermomix® Setting
10 min/212°F/Speed 1/Linkslauf 100 Reverse

Add the sliced button mushrooms and salt to the bowl. Cook: 10 Min./100°C/Stufe 1/Linkslauf.

Filling the vol-au-vents

Fill the vol-au-vents with a generous amount of sweet gorgonzola and add the cooked mushrooms.
