Description

This recipe for breaded chicken breasts is a simple dish but full of flavour. The combination of tender chicken with a crispy spiced bread topping makes it an ideal choice for a quick weeknight meal or to impress your guests. The preparation is very simple and the result is a juicy and aromatic dish. I usually prepare it when I have little time but I want to eat something tasty and nutritious. It is a guaranteed success! Also, you can vary the spices in the breadcrumbs to give it a personal touch. Try it with smoked paprika or a little chili powder for a spicy touch. You will love it!

Ingredients (11 ingredients)

  • 2 piece whole chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 4 slice sliced bread
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • Salt

Preparation (4 steps)

Marinate the chicken breasts

Place the chicken breasts in an oven-safe dish. In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of dried parsley, 1 teaspoon of oregano and 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Pour the mixture over the breasts, making sure to cover them well. Store in the refrigerator for 2 hours to marinate.

Prepare the spiced breadcrumbs

Place 4 slices of sliced bread in the Thermomix bowl. Crush for 5 Sec./Stufe 5. Pour the breadcrumbs into a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of dried parsley, 1 teaspoon of oregano and 4 tablespoons of melted butter. Mix well until a moist but not compact crumb is obtained.

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 200°C with heat only from below.

Cover the breasts and bake

Season the chicken breasts with salt to taste. Cover each breast with the spiced bread crumbs, pressing lightly to adhere. Place the breasts on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes with heat only from below. Then, switch to top and bottom heat and bake for 10 more minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
