Description

These yogurt and fennel marinated chicken skewers are an absolute delight! I have been preparing this recipe for years and it is always a sensation. The yogurt, honey and lemon marinade gives the meat incredible tenderness and a slightly tangy and sweet flavor. Fennel, with its aniseed taste, brings a touch of freshness that perfectly balances the dish. It is an ideal recipe for a sunny lunch or a light dinner. Preparation is quick and easy, and the marinating time allows the flavors to develop well. You can also prepare the marinade in advance and let the chicken marinate overnight for an even more intense flavor. A real treat for the taste buds!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 2 piece Stirred yogurt(s)
  • 4 pinch Chili pepper
  • 1 c. à soupe Liquid honey
  • 1 piece Lemon juice
  • 1 piece Lemon(s) zest
  • 600 g Chicken fillet(s)
  • 1 piece Fennel
  • 2 filets Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Mill pepper

Preparation of the marinade

Thermomix® Setting

In the Thermomix bowl, pour 2 stirred yogurts, 4 pinches of chili pepper, 1 tbsp of liquid honey, the juice of 1 lemon and the zest of 1 lemon. Add salt and mill pepper. Mix.

Chicken marinade

Arrange 600 g of chicken fillets in a dish, pour in the yogurt sauce, mix well, film and let stand for 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Steaming the fennel

Thermomix® Setting
20 min/Varoma/Speed 1 Varoma

Cut 1 fennel into slices. Pour 500 ml of water into the Thermomix bowl. Place the fennel in the Varoma and steam.

Preparation of the skewers

Remove the marinated chicken fillets, assemble them into skewers and set aside.

Browning the fennel

In a frying pan, pour 2 drizzles of olive oil and brown the fennel.

Cooking the skewers

Cook the chicken skewers on the barbecue (or on the grill on a hob).

Plating

On plates, arrange the marinated chicken skewers and the fennel.
