Description

These chicken skewers are a real treat! The tender chicken is marinated in an aromatic, homemade curry paste and then grilled or fried in a pan. The fresh herbs and spices such as lemongrass, galangal and kaffir lime leaves give the skewers an exotic touch. I especially like to make them in the summer for barbecue parties or as a quick dinner. The preparation is super easy and the marinating time ensures a particularly intense aroma. If you don't like it so spicy, you can of course reduce the chili pepper or leave it out altogether. An absolute must for all lovers of Asian cuisine!

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 300 g Chicken thigh without bone
  • 1 Stängel Lemongrass
  • 1 piece Galangal
  • 1 piece Ginger
  • 1 piece Shallot
  • 1 piece Chili pepper green
  • 1 Blatt Kaffir lime leaf
  • 8 Blätter Mint

Preparation (3 steps)

Prepare curry paste

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Speed 8

Put lemongrass, galangal, ginger, shallot, chili pepper, kaffir lime leaf and mint leaves into the mixing bowl and chop for 15 sec./speed 8. If necessary, scrape down the sides with the spatula and repeat the process until a fine paste has formed.

Marinate chicken

Cut the chicken thighs into finger-thick pieces. Add the curry paste to the meat and mix well. Cover the meat and marinate in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.

Prepare skewers

Thread the marinated chicken onto 6 skewers. Heat some oil in a pan and sear the skewers in portions until they are cooked through.
