Diese Chicken Satay Spieße sind ein absoluter Hit auf jeder Grillparty! Das zarte Hähnchenfleisch, mariniert in einer würzigen Mischung aus Ingwer, Knoblauch, Limette und Curry, harmoniert perfekt mit der cremigen Erdnusssauce. Ich mache das Rezept schon seit Jahren und es kommt immer gut an. Die Zubereitung ist zwar etwas aufwändiger, aber es lohnt sich! Besonders lecker schmecken die Spieße mit einem frischen Gurkensalat. Ideal für die Grillsaison oder als herzhaftes Fingerfood für Geburtstage und andere Feiern.

Ingredients (15 ingredients)

  • 1 piece ginger
  • 2 clove garlic cloves
  • 1 piece lime
  • 1 tsp clear honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp mild curry powder
  • 3 tbsp smooth peanut butter
  • 500 g skinless chicken breast fillets
  • 165 ml coconut milk
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 piece cucumber
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp golden caster sugar
  • sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 bunch coriander

Ginger and Garlic Preparation

Place the small piece of ginger and 2 garlic cloves into the mixing bowl and chop for 3 seconds/speed 7.

Marinade Preparation

Add the zest and juice of 1 lime, 1 tsp clear honey, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp mild curry powder, and 3 tbsp smooth peanut butter to the mixing bowl. Mix for 10 seconds/speed 4.

Chicken Marinade

Cut the 500g skinless chicken breast fillets into bite-sized pieces. Place the chicken pieces into a bowl and pour the marinade over them. Mix well to ensure the chicken is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or preferably longer.

Peanut Sauce Preparation

Pour the 165ml can of coconut milk into the mixing bowl. Cook for 5 minutes/100°C/speed 2.

Cucumber Salad Preparation

Peel the 1 cucumber and slice it thinly. In a separate bowl, combine 2 tbsp white wine vinegar and 1 tbsp golden caster sugar. Add the cucumber slices and mix well. Set aside.

Assembling the Satay Skewers

Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto 12 skewers.

Cooking the Chicken Satay

Heat 1 tsp vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken satay skewers for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through and lightly browned.

Serving

Serve the chicken satay skewers with the peanut sauce, cucumber salad, sweet chilli sauce, and a garnish of fresh coriander.
