Description

These date brownies are a delicious and vegan dessert that does not require refined sugar. The combination of dates, nuts and cocoa provides an intense taste. The preparation is quick and easy, ideal for a healthy snack or as a sweet surprise for guests. The brownies are gluten-free and are perfect for a conscious diet.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 250 g Dates
  • 300 ml Water
  • 90 g Butter
  • 1 piece Ripe banana
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • 100 g Flour (buckwheat or spelt)
  • 60 g Ground nuts
  • 35 g Cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 1 tsp Baking powder

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare dates

Cut 250 g dates into small pieces.

Cook dates until soft

Put 300 ml water and the cut dates into the mixing bowl and cook until soft for 5 min./100°C/speed 1.

Puree date mixture

Add 90 g butter (or nut puree/oil), 2 tbsp honey (or vegan alternative) and 1 ripe banana to the dates in the mixing bowl. Puree everything for 30 sec./speed 8 and let cool.

Mix dry ingredients

Mix 100 g flour (buckwheat or spelt), 60 g ground nuts, 35 g cocoa powder unsweetened, 1 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp baking powder in a separate bowl.

Fold in dry ingredients

Add the dry ingredients to the date mixture in the mixing bowl and fold in for 20 sec./speed 4 reverse.

Baking

Pour the dough into a baking dish (approx. 18 x 26 cm) and bake at 180°C for 25-30 minutes.
