Description

These chocolate date brownies are a delicious treat with healthy ingredients. The combination of dates, hazelnuts and cocoa makes them an ideal snack or dessert. The preparation is simple and takes only 40 minutes. The recipe yields 12 servings and is perfect for brunch or as a sweet treat in between.

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 300 g Dates (pitted)
  • 200 g ground hazelnuts
  • 4 EL Cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 2 TL Baking powder
  • 200 ml unsweetened almond drink
  • 2 TL Vanilla extract

Preparation (6 steps)

Preheat oven

Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Line a small baking pan (approx. 20 x 20 cm) with baking paper.

Prepare date paste

Chop 150g dates (pitted) for 20 sec./speed 8. Loosen from the edge with the spatula and mix for 10 sec./speed 8 to a mass.

Add dry ingredients.

Add 100g ground hazelnuts, 2 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened) and 1 tsp baking powder to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./speed 4.

Add liquid ingredients and stir

Add 100 ml unsweetened almond drink and 1 tsp vanilla extract and stir for 20 sec./speed 4.

Spread and bake the dough

Spread the dough in the prepared pan and smooth it out. Then bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack for about 20 minutes until the brownies are firm but still slightly moist in the middle.

Cool and cut

Remove from the oven and let cool completely on a wire rack, then cut into 12 pieces.
