Description

This is a simple and delicious recipe for chicken drumsticks baked with apples and onions. Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 12 piece bone-in chicken drumsticks, with skin
  • salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 tbsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 4 piece small apples - peeled, cored, and cut into wedges
  • 2 piece large onions, peeled and cut into wedges
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Preparation (6 steps)

Preheat the oven

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Prepare the chicken and vegetables

Lay the 12 bone-in chicken drumsticks in a roasting pan and season generously on both sides with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Prepare the liquid and herbs

Pour ¼ cup apple cider vinegar and ¼ cup water into the bottom of the pan. Sprinkle the chicken with 1 tablespoon dried rosemary and 1 teaspoon dried thyme. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Arrange apples and onions

Arrange the 4 small apples (peeled, cored, and cut into wedges) and 2 large onions (peeled and cut into wedges) in and around the chicken. Drizzle everything with 2 tablespoons olive oil. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Bake the chicken

Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.

Increase temperature and brown

Increase the temperature to 395 degrees F (202 degrees C) and bake until the chicken is lightly browned, 5 to 15 more minutes. You can also brown the chicken under the broiler. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
