Description

These nut corners, prepared in the Thermomix®, are a delicious finger food and dessert, ideal for the Christmas season and festive occasions. The main ingredients are wheat flour, butter, sugar and apricot jam. The preparation takes a total of 120 minutes, of which 60 minutes is active work. The recipe yields a corresponding portion of nut corners and is perfect for those who enjoy baking.

  • 150 g Wheat flour
  • 1.5 TL Baking powder
  • 65 g Sugar
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 65 g Butter or margarine
  • 1 Stück Egg
  • 2 EL Apricot jam
  • 100 g Butter or margarine
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 Päckchen Vanilla sugar
  • 2 EL Water
  • 100 g Ground hazelnut kernels
  • 100 g Chopped hazelnut kernels
  • 50 g Chocolate coating

Prepare dough

Thermomix® Setting

Put flour and baking powder in the mixing bowl and mix: 10 sec/level 4.

Add more ingredients

Add sugar, vanilla sugar and egg and process with the flour into a thick paste: 20 sec/level 4.

Add fat and knead dough

Add cold butter in pieces and knead with the Patix dough knife for 2 min/kneading stage to a smooth dough.

Roll out and spread dough

Roll out the dough into a rectangle of 32 x 24 cm, place on a baking tray and spread thinly with apricot jam.

Prepare topping

For the topping, put butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and water in the mixing bowl and heat for 3 min/50°C/level 2 and melt.

Stir in nuts

Stir in hazelnut kernels: 10 sec/reverse/level 2.

Spread topping and bake

Spread the topping evenly on the dough. Place a piece of aluminum foil folded several times in front of the dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 175-200°C (Gas 3-4, Strom 175-200) for 20-30 minutes.

Cut pastry

Let the pastry cool down a little, cut into squares of 8 x 8 cm, divide these in half so that triangles are formed.

Melt chocolate coating

For the glaze, put the chocolate coating in pieces in the mixing bowl and melt for 3 min/50°C/level 1.

Decorate pastry

Coat the tips of the nut corners with the melted chocolate coating.

Froth milk (optional)

2-3 min/Speed 3,5 140°F/158°F

Put 100 ml of milk or plant drink in the mixing bowl. Attach the MilkiMizer and whisk for 2-3 min/level 3.5 depending on the type of milk. Set 60°C for cow's milk, 70°C for oat milk.
