Description

These colorful Americans are a real eye-catcher at every children's birthday party! The dough is quickly prepared in the Thermomix® and the little cakes are super easy to bake. After cooling, they are covered with a delicious sugar glaze and can then be decorated to your heart's content. I always like to make them because they are so much fun to decorate and simply taste delicious. A great recipe that is guaranteed to bring radiant children's eyes!

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 75 g Butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Bourbon vanilla flavoring
  • 1 Prise(n) Salt
  • 2 piece Eggs
  • 250 g Wheat flour
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 100 ml Milk
  • 250 g Icing sugar
  • 3.5 tbsp Lemon juice

Preparation (6 steps)

Mix butter, sugar, vanilla flavoring and salt

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 4

Put 75 g butter, 100 g sugar, 1 pack bourbon vanilla flavoring and 1 pinch of salt into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 4.

Add eggs

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 4

Add 2 eggs one after the other and stir in for 10 sec./speed 4 each.

Add flour, baking powder and milk

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 4

Put 250 g wheat flour, 3 tsp baking powder and 100 ml milk into the mixing bowl and mix for 30 sec./speed 4. Scrape down from the edge with the spatula and mix for another 10 sec./speed 4.

Portion and bake the dough

Using 2 tablespoons, place 4 mounds each with plenty of space on three baking trays lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven (electric oven: 170 °C/convection oven:145 °C/gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 20 minutes. After 15 minutes, brush the surfaces with a little milk. Remove the Americans and let them cool down.

Prepare icing

Put 250 g icing sugar and 3.5 tbsp lemon juice into the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 3.

Decorate Americans

Spread the icing on the flat sides of the Americans and let it dry. Decorate with sugar writing as desired.
