Description

This fruity strawberry jam is an absolute delight! I make it every year when the strawberries are particularly ripe and aromatic. The addition of bananas and peaches gives the jam a special sweetness and a great consistency. It tastes wonderful on fresh bread rolls or croissants for breakfast, but also as a sweet accompaniment to pancakes or waffles. The preparation is very simple and succeeds with the Thermomix® in no time at all. A perfect start to the day or a sweet treat in between!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 500 g Strawberries, ripe to very ripe
  • 2 piece Banana(s), very ripe
  • 4 piece Peach(es), very ripe and soft
  • 2 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 1 piece Lemon(s)
  • 0.75 Pck. Gelling sugar 2:1

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare fruits

Wash strawberries and peaches. Remove the green from the strawberries, divide peaches lengthwise into 4 pieces around the stone. Cut strawberries and peaches into very small pieces. Peel the bananas and cut into very small pieces. Put everything into the mixing bowl.

Chop fruits

Chop the prepared fruits in the mixing bowl for 10 sec./level 5. The time can be adjusted depending on the desired consistency.

Add and mix ingredients

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 3

Add lemon juice, vanilla sugar and gelling sugar 2:1 to the mixing bowl and mix for 10 sec./level 3.

Resting time

Let the mixture rest in the mixing bowl for 120 min.

Cook jam

Thermomix® Setting
4 min/212°F/Speed 2 100

Cook the jam for 4 min./100°C/level 2.

Perform setting test

Put a setting sample on a cold plate. If the jam gels, it is ready. If not, add a little more gelling sugar and cook again for 1 min./100°C/level 2.

Fill jam

Immediately fill the hot jam into prepared, clean jars, close them and turn them upside down until they have cooled.
