Description

Apricot cinnamon hearts are a Christmas cookie recipe for the Thermomix® with dried apricots, margarine, sugar, egg and cinnamon. The preparation takes a total of 97 minutes, of which 30 minutes is active work, and yields about 40 servings. These simple cookies are ideal as finger food, dessert or for a winter coffee table. Perfect for anyone who likes to bake themselves during the Christmas season.

Ingredients (10 ingredients)

  • 125 g Apricots (dried)
  • 250 g Margarine
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 Prise Iodized salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1 TL Baking powder
  • 1 TL Cinnamon
  • 250 g Apricot jam
  • 75 g Chocolate coating (dark)

Preparation (10 steps)

Chop the apricots

Place 125 g of dried apricots in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec/speed 5. Then transfer to a bowl.

Mix margarine, sugar and salt

Thermomix® Setting
30 sec/Speed 4

Put 250 g margarine, 200 g sugar, 1 pinch of iodized salt and 1 egg in the mixing bowl and mix for 30 sec/speed 4.

Add flour mixture and knead

Thermomix® Setting
2 min/Kneading speed

Add 300 g flour, 1 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp cinnamon to the mixing bowl with the remaining ingredients and knead for 2 min/kneading stage to form a dough.

Stir in apricots

Thermomix® Setting
15 sec/Linkslauf/Speed 2 Reverse

Add the chopped apricots to the dough in the mixing bowl and stir in for 15 sec/Reverse/speed 2. Use the spatula to help.

Chill the dough

Remove the dough from the mixing bowl, wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Bake cookies

Preheat oven to 175 °C (convection oven: 155 °C). Roll out the dough on a floured work surface and cut out cookies, e.g. with a heart cutter. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in the preheated oven for about 12 minutes.

Heat the jam

Put 250 g apricot jam in the mixing bowl and heat for 3 min/50°C/speed 2.

Spread jam on cookies

Spread the warmed apricot jam on the baked cookies.

Melt the chocolate coating

3 min/122°F/Speed 2 50

Put 75 g chocolate coating (dark) in pieces in the mixing bowl and melt for 3 min/50°C/speed 2.

Decorate cookies

Fill the melted chocolate coating into a piping bag or drizzle with a spoon over the apricot cinnamon cookies coated with jam.
