Description

These waffle hearts with rum fruits are a delicious dessert that is especially enjoyable in the cold season. Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 500 g Hamburger rum pot
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 125 g soft butter or margarine
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 1 Pck. Vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 piece Eggs (size M)
  • 200 g Flour
  • 100 g ground almonds
  • 0.5 Pck. Baking powder
  • 2 tbsp Milk
  • 2 tbsp Icing sugar for dusting

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare rum pot

Put the rum pot in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir the cornstarch with a little water until smooth. Bind the rum pot with the mixed starch, bring to the boil again, cover and chill.

Mix butter, sugar and vanilla sugar

Put the soft butter or margarine, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt into the mixing bowl and mix for 2 min./speed 4 until creamy.

Stir in eggs

Add the eggs one at a time to the mixing bowl and stir in for 20 sec./speed 3 each.

Mix flour, almonds and baking powder

Mix flour, ground almonds and baking powder in a separate bowl.

Mix dry and liquid ingredients

Add the flour mixture alternately with the milk to the mixing bowl and stir in for 1 min./speed 3. If necessary, scrape from the edge with the spatula.

Bake waffles

Grease and preheat the waffle iron. Place 1 1/2 tablespoons of dough in the middle of the waffle iron and bake until golden brown. Bake approx. 10 pieces one after the other.

Serve waffles

Serve the waffles with the cold rum pot compote and dust with icing sugar. Vanilla ice cream tastes good with it.
