Description

This creamy chicken curry is an absolute comfort food! I love making it when I need something quick, but still delicious. The tender chicken breast fillet in the creamy curry sauce, with fluffy rice – simply heavenly! If you like it a little spicier, you can of course use more curry powder. And the best part: it's super easy to prepare with the Thermomix®. A great dish for the whole family that is guaranteed to please everyone. Be sure to try it!

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 600 g Chicken breast fillet
  • 1 piece Onion, medium sized
  • 2 tsp Curry powder, heaped
  • 200 ml Whipping cream, 30% fat
  • 500 ml Chicken bouillon, granulated or paste
  • 1 tbsp Flour
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • to taste Salt
  • Flat parsley, fresh

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop onion

Place the onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Sauté onion

Add the vegetable oil to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Sear chicken (pan)

Pat the chicken breast fillet dry, cut into strips and salt lightly. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan and sear the sliced chicken in it for about 3 minutes over medium to high heat. Then remove from the pan and set aside.

Add curry and flour

Add the flour and curry powder to the onions in the mixing bowl and sauté for 1 min./100°C/speed 2.

Deglaze with broth

Add the chicken bouillon to the mixing bowl and bring to a boil for 5 min./100°C/speed 2.

Add cream and chicken

Add the cream and the seared sliced chicken to the mixing bowl and simmer for 10 min./90°C/speed 1. Season with salt if necessary.

Serve the chicken curry with rice or side dishes of your choice and garnish with fresh parsley.
