Description

This creamy chicken with mushrooms is a comforting and flavorful dish, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a special dinner. The recipe, inspired by Brazilian cuisine, combines the smoothness of the chicken with the richness of the cream and the earthy touch of the mushrooms. I often prepare it because it is very easy to make and always triumphs at home. In addition, it can be accompanied with white rice or straw potatoes for an even more complete experience. Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 2 piece Chicken breasts (skinless and fat-free)
  • 300 g Mushrooms
  • 250 ml Liquid cream (Milk cream)
  • 1 puñado Rice
  • 1 piece Small onion
  • Tomato sauce
  • Oil
  • Straw potatoes

Preparation (6 steps)

Prepare the chicken

Cut the chicken breasts into small tacos and season with salt and pepper to taste. Reserve.

Chop the onion

Insert the small onion into the Thermomix glass and chop for 3 seconds at speed 5.

Sauté the onion and chicken

Add a little oil to the Thermomix glass along with the chopped onion and sauté for 3 minutes at 120°C at speed 1. Then, add the chopped chicken and sauté for 5 minutes at 120°C at speed 1.

Add tomato sauce and mushrooms

Incorporate a couple of tablespoons of tomato sauce and the sliced mushrooms into the Thermomix glass. Cook for 3 minutes at 100°C at speed 1.

Add the cream and reduce

Thermomix® Setting

Pour the liquid cream (milk cream) into the Thermomix glass and cook for 5 minutes at 90°C at speed 1, without the measuring cup, so that the sauce reduces and thickens.

Cook the rice (garnish)

20 min/212°F/Speed 4 100

Put the rice in the basket. Pour 500 ml of water into the glass, place the basket with the rice inside and program 20 minutes/100°C/speed 4.
