Description

This creamy potato and ham casserole from the Thermomix® is a hearty main course with potatoes, cooked ham, and a creamy sauce. Preparation takes a total of 55 minutes, of which 25 minutes are active work. The recipe is designed for 4 servings and is ideal for a warm family meal. The combination of potatoes and ham makes the casserole particularly filling.

Ingredients (12 ingredients)

  • 1 kg Potatoes, waxy
  • 1 Onion
  • 200 g Cooked ham
  • 3 EL Butter
  • 3 EL Flour
  • 200 ml Vegetable broth
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 1 TL Salt
  • 1 Prise Pepper
  • 1 TL Sweet paprika powder
  • 0.5 TL Nutmeg
  • 150 g Cheese, grated

Preparation (7 steps)

Prepare potatoes

Peel 1 kg of potatoes and cut into small pieces.

Chop onion

Place 1 onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Pre-cook potatoes

Place potato pieces in the simmering basket. Add 1000 ml of water to the mixing bowl, insert the simmering basket and pre-cook for 10 min./Varoma/speed 1.

Sauté onions

Add 3 tbsp of butter to the mixing bowl and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Prepare sauce

Add 3 tbsp of flour and stir in for 1 min./120°C/speed 2. Add 200 ml of vegetable broth and 250 ml of milk and bring to a boil for 5 min./90°C/speed 3. Add 1 tsp of salt, pepper, 1 tsp of sweet paprika powder and ½ tsp of nutmeg and stir in for 1 min./90°C/speed 2.

Prepare casserole

Place potatoes, 200 g of diced cooked ham and the sauce in a casserole dish. Sprinkle with 150 g of grated cheese.

Bake casserole

Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C top/bottom heat for 30 minutes.
