  • 2 pounds red potatoes
  • 0.5 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh chives
  • 1 pinch salt

Cook the Potatoes

Place 2 pounds of red potatoes, peeled and quartered, into the mixing bowl. Add 1000 ml of water and 1 teaspoon of salt. Cook for 20 Min./100°C/Stufe 1.

Drain the Potatoes

Carefully drain the water from the mixing bowl using the simmering basket.

Heat Buttermilk and Butter

Add ½ cup of buttermilk and 1 tablespoon of butter to the mixing bowl. Heat for 2 Min./60°C/Stufe 2.

Mash the Potatoes

Thermomix® Setting
10 Sec./Speed 4

Add ¼ cup of chopped fresh chives and 1 pinch of salt (optional) to the mixing bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 4. Use the spatula to assist if needed.
