Description

This quinoa breakfast porridge is a wonderful start to the day! I especially like to make it in winter, when fresh berries are scarce and I resort to frozen goods. The combination of warm quinoa, sweet bananas and slightly tart berries is simply unbeatable. The cinnamon provides a cozy warmth and makes the dish a real comfort food. If you like it even sweeter, you can of course add a little more honey. The recipe is super easy and quick to prepare, perfect for a stressful morning. And the best thing: it is also healthy and keeps you full for a long time!

Ingredients (7 ingredients)

  • 500 ml Milk
  • 250 g Quinoa
  • 4 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 2 piece Bananas
  • 200 g Frozen Berry Mix
  • 4 tbsp Honey
  • 500 ml Water

Preparation (3 steps)

Cook Quinoa

Thermomix® Setting
25 min/212°F/Speed 1 100

Add 500 ml Milk and 500 ml Water to the mixing bowl. Add 250 g Quinoa and simmer for 25 Min./100°C/level 1 without a measuring cup until the liquid has been completely absorbed. Use the spatula to occasionally loosen the quinoa from the bottom.

Season Quinoa

Thermomix® Setting
10 sec/Speed 2

Add 4 tbsp Cinnamon and 2 tbsp Honey to the cooked Quinoa in the mixing bowl and stir for 10 sec./level 2. Use the spatula to mix everything well.

Arrange and Serve

Cut 2 Bananas into slices. Distribute the hot Quinoa on bowls, arrange 200 g Frozen Berry Mix and banana slices on top. Drizzle with the remaining 2 tbsp Honey and serve immediately.
