Description

These classic sugared crêpes are a simple and comforting delight, perfect for a gourmet breakfast or an impromptu dessert. The recipe is easy to make with the Thermomix®, which guarantees a smooth and homogeneous batter in no time. I love making this recipe for Sunday brunch or for a little sweetness during the week. The batter rests for 30 minutes, resulting in light and fluffy crêpes. Feel free to add a little rum for a more festive flavor! They are delicious plain, with sugar, jam or spread.

Ingredients (8 ingredients)

  • 1 l milk
  • 500 g flour
  • 6 piece eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 40 g butter
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • Rum
  • 1 pinch fine salt

Preparation (8 steps)

Mix the dry ingredients and eggs

20 sec/Speed 4

In the Thermomix bowl, pour 100 g of sugar, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar and 6 eggs. Mix for 20 Sek./Stufe 4.

Add the flour

30 sec/Speed 3

Add 500 g of flour to the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 30 Sek./Stufe 3.

Melt the butter

Melt 40 g of butter in the microwave or in a saucepan. The melted butter will be added to the preparation in the next step.

Add the melted butter

10 sec/Speed 3

Pour the melted butter into the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 10 Sek./Stufe 3.

Add the milk gradually

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Speed 3

Add 1 l of milk little by little into the Thermomix bowl, while mixing for 1 Min./Stufe 3.

Add the salt and rum

Thermomix® Setting
5 sec/Speed 3

Add 1 pinch of salt and a little rum (according to your taste) into the Thermomix bowl. Mix for 5 Sek./Stufe 3.

Let the batter rest

Pour the batter into a bowl and let it rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Cook the crêpes

Mix the batter before cooking in a hot crêpe maker. Use a ladle to pour the batter and cook each crêpe for about 1 minute on each side.
