Description

These homemade french fries are true comfort food! Preparing them is simpler than you might think, and the result is truly satisfying. The potatoes, cut into sticks and lightly seasoned, become crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect for a delicious appetizer or as a side dish for a burger. I often prepare them for my children, who adore them! A little trick: soaking them in cold water makes them even crispier. Try them, you won't regret it!

Ingredients (3 ingredients)

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • fine salt

Preparation of the potatoes

Peel 1 kg of potatoes and cut them into sticks with a cutting board and a knife. This step is essential to obtain the desired shape of the fries.

Soaking the potatoes

Immerse the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them rest for 30 minutes. This helps to remove excess starch.

Drying the potatoes

Drain the potatoes and dry them by dabbing them well with a clean cloth. Make sure they are completely dry for perfect frying.

Seasoning the potatoes

Put the potatoes back in the bowl, add 5 tablespoons of olive oil and mix well with your hands so that all the potatoes are well seasoned.

Preparation for cooking

Transfer the seasoned potatoes to the air fryer basket without overlapping them too much. This ensures even cooking.

Cooking the fries

Cook the potatoes in the air fryer at 200°C for 15 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.

Once ready, salt the french fries to taste and serve hot with your favorite sauce. Enjoy your meal!
