Description
This Caramelized Walnut Brittle is prepared in the Thermomix® and is a delicious, vegetarian snack or festive dessert. The main ingredients are walnut kernels, sugar and butter. With a preparation time of 50 minutes, this makes about 6 servings. The recipe is ideal as a Christmas finger food or for the winter coffee table.

200 g Walnut kernels

100 g Sugar

2 EL Butter
Preparation (5 steps)
Prepare baking sheet
Line a baking sheet with baking paper and set aside.
Roughly chop walnuts
Place 200 g walnut kernels in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5. Then transfer.
Caramelize sugar
Place 100 g sugar and 2 tbsp butter in the mixing bowl and melt for 5 min./80°C/speed 2 without the measuring cup. Then caramelize for another 5 min./100°C/speed 2.
Mix in walnuts
Add the chopped walnuts to the caramel in the mixing bowl and stir in for 20 sec./reverse/speed 2. Use the spatula to scrape down from the edge.
Spread brittle and let cool
Spread the brittle mixture on the prepared baking sheet and let it cool completely. Then break into small pieces or chop coarsely.
