Description

This recipe for crispy poultry is a true classic that works wonderfully with the Thermomix®. The chicken pieces are first dipped in a spicy egg-cream mixture and then breaded in crumbled cornflakes. This creates a wonderfully crispy crust. I like to make this dish for family meals or parties because it is easy to prepare and always well received. It goes well with French fries and a fresh coleslaw. If you like it a little spicier, you can add some chili powder to the egg mixture. The preparation takes a little time, but the result is worth it!

Ingredients (6 ingredients)

  • 1 piece Chicken
  • 1 pack Cornflakes
  • 2 piece Egg(s)
  • 80 g Cream
  • 2 tbsp Salt and Pepper
  • 50 g Flour

Preparation (5 steps)

Chop cornflakes

Place the cornflakes in the mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec./speed 5. Transfer and set aside.

Prepare egg mixture

Thermomix® Setting
20 sec/Speed 3

Put eggs, cream, salt and pepper in the mixing bowl and mix for 20 sec./speed 3. Transfer and set aside.

Bread the chicken

First turn the chicken pieces in flour, then dip them in the egg mixture and then bread them in the crushed cornflakes. Make sure the breading is even.

Fry the chicken

Fry the breaded chicken pieces in a fryer for approx. 10 minutes.

Finish cooking the chicken in the oven

Place the fried chicken pieces on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C for approx. 45 minutes.
