Description

This crusted chicken breast recipe is a family favorite! I've been making it for years, and it's always a hit. The sour cream mixture keeps the chicken incredibly moist, while the stuffing crumbs add a delightful crunch and savory flavor. It's a simple yet satisfying dish that's perfect for a weeknight dinner or a casual gathering. The preparation is quick, and the oven does most of the work. Feel free to experiment with different herb combinations in the stuffing mix to customize the flavor to your liking. Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Ingredients (9 ingredients)

  • 1 cupsour cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons celery salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 8 piece skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 6 ounce herb-seasoned stuffing mix, crushed into crumbs
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted

Preparation (5 steps)

Prepare the baking dish

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Lightly grease a baking dish and set aside.

Mix the sour cream mixture

Add 1 cup sour cream, 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, 2 teaspoons soy sauce, 2 teaspoons celery salt, 2 teaspoons garlic salt, and 1 pinch ground black pepper to the mixing bowl. Mix for 10 Sec./Stufe 3 until well combined.

Coat the chicken

Coat each of the 8 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves in the sour cream mixture, then in the 1 (6 ounce) package herb-seasoned stuffing mix, crushed into crumbs. Arrange the chicken in the prepared baking dish.

Melt the butter

Thermomix® Setting

Add ½ cup unsalted butter, melted to the mixing bowl. Melt for 2 Min./50°C/Stufe 2.

Drizzle and bake

Drizzle the melted butter over the chicken in the baking dish. Bake in the preheated oven until the chicken is no longer pink and the juices run clear, approximately 40 to 60 minutes.
