Description

This recipe for Mongolian beef is a hearty and quick main course that is ready in about 30 minutes. The beef is fried in a separate pan and then mixed with a sweet and savory soy sauce in the Thermomix®. Ideal for a quick weekday dinner and for anyone who loves Asian flavors.   • 500 g Beef (cut into thin strips)
  • 0.25 Tasse Cornstarch
  • 0.5 Tasse Soy sauce
  • 0.5 Tasse Brown sugar
  • 0.5 Tasse Water
  • 2 EL Oil
  • 2 Zehen Garlic (chopped)
  • 0.5 Stück Onion (chopped)
  • 1 EL Sesame seeds

Preparation (7 steps)

Chop onion

Put onion in the mixing bowl and chop for 3 sec./speed 5.

Add oil and sauté for 3 min./120°C/speed 1.

Add garlic and chop for 3 sec./speed 7.

Prepare sauce

Add soy sauce, water, brown sugar and cornstarch. Cook for 5 min./100°C/speed 2.

Thicken sauce

Cook for another 2 min./100°C/speed 2 without a measuring cup to thicken the sauce.

Fry meat

Fry the meat in a separate pan with some oil until cooked.

Add meat and sesame

Thermomix® Setting
1 min/Linkslauf/Speed 1 Reverse

Add the fried meat and sesame seeds to the mixing bowl and stir in for 1 min./reverse/speed 1.
