Description

This chocolate cake is a true delight for all chocolate lovers! I especially like to bake it when visitors come or for birthdays. The combination of bittersweet and white chocolate makes it particularly juicy and aromatic. Preparation with the Thermomix® is super easy and quick, so you can conjure up a delicious cake in no time. The chocolate sprinkles on top are the icing on the cake and make the cake a real eye-catcher. It tastes both warm and cold and can be prepared well in advance.

Ingredients (13 ingredients)

  • 1 Schote(n) Vanilla
  • 200 g Butter (soft)
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 Prise(n) Salt
  • 4 piece Eggs
  • 400 g Wheat Flour Type 405
  • 1 Pck. Baking powder
  • 50 g Baking cocoa
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 100 g Bittersweet chocolate pieces
  • 100 g White chocolate pieces
  • 150 g Cake glaze whole milk
  • 2 tbsp Chocolate sprinkles bittersweet

Preparation (6 steps)

Beat vanilla, butter, sugar and salt

Cut open the vanilla bean and scrape out the pulp. Place vanilla pulp, 200 g soft butter, 150 g sugar and 1 pinch of salt in the mixing bowl and beat for 3 min./speed 4 until frothy.

Add eggs

Add 4 eggs individually one after the other to the mixing bowl and stir in for 30 sec./speed 3 each time.

Stir in flour mixture and milk

Thermomix® Setting

Mix 400 g wheat flour type 405, 1 packet of baking powder and 50 g baking cocoa in a separate bowl. Add the flour mixture and 200 ml milk to the mixing bowl and stir in for 40 sec./speed 4.

Fold in chocolate pieces

Add 100 g bittersweet chocolate pieces and 100 g white chocolate pieces to the mixing bowl and fold in for 10 sec./reverse/speed 2.

Baking

Line a loaf pan (30 x 11) with baking paper, pour in the batter and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C top/bottom heat for approx. 60 minutes (stick test!).

Cool and glaze

Let the cake cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then remove from the pan and let it cool completely. Melt 150 g of cake glaze according to the package instructions, spread on the cake and sprinkle with 2 tbsp of chocolate sprinkles. Let the cake dry and serve cut into pieces.
