Description
Hearty date bacon bites are a quick finger food recipe for the Thermomix® with bacon, dates and honey. In just 30 minutes, about 4 servings of the hearty snack are created. Ideal as an appetizer, for parties or as a hearty snack in between. The simple recipe is particularly suitable for lovers of quick and uncomplicated cuisine.

20 Soft dates

1 EL Honey
Preparation (6 steps)
Preheat oven
Preheat the oven to 180°C top/bottom heat. Soak toothpicks in water to prevent burning in the oven. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
Prepare bacon
Halve the bacon slices. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
Wrap dates
Wrap half a bacon slice around a date and secure with a soaked toothpick. Place the wrapped dates in a fireproof dish or pan. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
Prepare honey
Put 1 tbsp honey into the mixing bowl and stir for 5 sec/level 3 to make it a little more liquid. This makes it easier to drizzle the dates.
Drizzle dates
Drizzle the dates with the prepared honey. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
Baking
Bake the dish in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until the bacon is nice and crispy. This step is done outside of the Thermomix.
